One more post while I have some quick access to my phone. I am so glad to of found this!! I almost ordered it from one if my regular bookstores, but the paperback was out of stock 😭 and they gave me the price for a hardback instead. Neat, but... the aesthetic of the DC Icons gotta be same. Priorities, am I right?? 😂 Edit: forgot to mention that no, I did not buy the hardback, I went elsewhere and found the paperback edition I wanted 😂 Question: How often do you buy books in the same format for the aesthetic on your shelves? A new day, new week, means showing off a new book I got over the weekend. This cloth cover edition of Emma by Jane Austen looked just gorgeous and was a bargain buy for $9.99!!! Good evening readers, it has been a few days since I posted anything, so here is a quick update. This last weekend was A MAAAZZZ IIINNNGG!! And I had set myself the task of clearing up the garden. I got about... a third of the way through before it got dark, but in between clearing and pruning, I went and bought a copy of Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Lani Taylor. So glad I found this cover, so pretty. Mōrena pukapuka lovers!! It is Māori language week in New Zealand and though I'm a bit late to it, I am wanting to show off one of my current reads, set in colonial New Zealand oddly enough. Kitty, by Deborah Challinor, is about a young girl from Norfolk, England whom is sent to live in colonial New Zealand with her missionary uncle and aunt after a compromising situation arose that would've ruined her. Even though I am nursing a serious book hangover from my latest read, I am seriously behind on my reading challenge for the year and I need to do some hard crunch reading. Good morning readers!! And happy Monday Kiwi readers. How is your first days of Spring going? Today is my day off and I'm hoping to get a vast amount of cleaning done inside and out - weather and mind permitting... Anyway, here is part of my mail haul from the weekend. A 4 set of 2 ounce candles from @faerietalescandles 😊😍😊😍😊😍 They all smell, lovely, luscious and yummy, but my absolute favourite has got to be Claire Fraser.
